Community Involvement

It’s in Our Blood to Be in the Community

Giving back has always been at the cornerstone of our company, as evidenced by former Brown & Brown Director John Riedman’s creation of the Riedman Charitable Foundation in 1939. Today, our firm’s emphasis on community involvement is even greater under the leadership of our Executive Vice President Andy Meloni.

Andy learned early on in his career that giving back to the community is not only the right thing to do, but it also encourages other community business leaders to become involved. “I have always felt it is important to be active in our community, to help make it a great place to live,” said Andy. In addition to his great many personal involvements, Andy has encouraged and mentored every one of the firm’s employees to become part of the fabric of the community.employees volunteering for salvation army

Prospective hires, take note: community involvement is such a high priority at Brown & Brown Insurance of New York that it is a requirement in order to be hired. In 2015, our office donated over $100,000 to the Upstate New York community, as well as being actively involved in other numerous volunteer efforts.
