Personal Lines Account Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Personal Account Manager willing to join our team. We would prefer familiarity with all aspects of insurance services from applicants to policy analysis. Must enjoy working with customers, carriers and staff. Must possess the ability to market renewals and rounding of accounts. Handle inside service work associated with the client’s insurance program including all endorsement activity, problem solving, routine coverage questions, rating, preparation of formal proposals, plus marketing, checking and booking policies. Excellent word processing skills is a must. We utilize the Applied (Tam) system and while knowledge of these systems is a plus, we will certainly offer training. Personal Lines Insurance Producer

We are seeking an individual to join our fast-paced Personal Lines Department. This person will be responsible for generating new business production through outside sales and business relationships. The job will entail setting up appointments with high-net-worth prospects, analyzing existing exposures, and presenting alternative insurance solutions and products. The ideal candidate will be able to close a high percentage of these appointments and excel in relationship building.

Commercial Account Manager

Job Summary:

The Rochester, NY office of Brown & Brown of NY, Inc. is looking for an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join our team. This position would be responsible for servicing a book of business consisting of middle market to large accounts. This individual will handle inside service work associated with the clients’ insurance programs, including all endorsement activity, problem solving, routine coverage questions, rating, ordering loss runs, preparation of formal proposals, plus marketing, checking and booking policies. The position involves working with multiple producers in the Agency.  We offer an excellent salary and benefits package.

Required Competencies:

  • NY P&C License required
  • High School diploma required
  • Five or more years experience in multi-line Property & Casualty insurance
  • Knowledge of basic insurance products and pricing tools is essential
  • Adept at word processing, Excel and internet-based rating programs
  • Knowledge of “Applied Agency management Systems” software beneficial
  • Dependability
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • A Team Player
  • Ability to multi-task and handle simultaneous projects
